Get to know The KlassiCs!

We are Metro Detroit's newest Doo Wop SENSATION, singing hits from the 50's and 60's for your listening and dancing enjoyment!

KC DeLaGarza

KC, a career army veteran, spent 2001 - 2003 singing for our troops with a Catholic choir, while stationed in New York City.  During that time, he was also performing search and rescue operations at the World Trade Center disaster!  In 2004, while serving in Iraq, KC entertained the troops with a Doo Wop group he formed called "The Crystal Chandeliers".  After KC was ordered back to the US in 2006, he joined the "The Optimistics" in 2016, who he performed with until he formed "The Del-Rays of Detroit" a year later.  In 2021, KC created "The KlassiCs" in order to perform at Autorama and, as a result, established his forever Doo Wop group!

Andy Alonzo

Andy started his singing career with "The Latin Counts" in 1960.  He later joined "The Martiniques" who recorded the hit record, Tonight is Just Another Night. For many years, Andy toured with "The Shades of Blue" of Oh How Happy fame, performing in almost every major venue in the country!  His musicianship was widely recognized, so he served as a fill-in for several great vocal groups.  Andy has a recording studio in his house; fans can find his album, "Death and Taxes" on Apple Music.  Andy took a short break from Show Business in the 2010s but he is "oh so happy" to be back and singing with "The KlassiCs"!

Maria is a musical theatre performer with over 35 years of stage experience. Career highlights include performing on a Carnival cruise ship, at the Elspe Festival in Germany, and at the Encore Musical Theatre Company in Dexter, Michigan.  She is absolutely thrilled to be singing with "The KlassiCs", which is the first live vocal group with which she's ever sung!  Maria is also the webmaster for The KlassiCs' website and uses her computer skills to manage lyrics sheets and set lists for the group.  When not performing, Maria is an online high school Geometry teacher, yoga teacher, and backyard gardener.

Julie Noe - Sub

Julie sang in the Oldies Band, "Moose and Da Sharks" for over 20 years and the "Misty Blues Party Band" for 10 years.  She currently sings in "Velvet", a Christmas caroling trio, and "The Sharkettes" a vocal trio singing tunes from the 1920s to the present.  She is a staff soloist at many Unity churches in the Metro Detroit area as well. Julie loves the challenge of subbing in various bands and is thrilled to be swinging in for "The KlassiCs"!  Julie recently packed the house at the Three Cats restaurant in Clawson when she sang jazz, her favorite genre, and she plans to continue to perform live jazz in the Detroit area as often as she can!  When she isn't singing her heart out, Julie works as an early childhood educator for Detroit Public Schools.
